New State of Global Air Report Finds Air Pollution is Second Leading Risk Factor for Death Worldwide
Air pollution now ranks as the second leading risk factor for death, accounting for 8.1 million deaths globally according to HEI’s new State of Global Air 2024 Report. The new report provides a comprehensive analysis of data for air quality and health impacts for countries around the world in 2021. Of the total deaths, noncommunicable diseases account for up to 90% of the disease burden from air pollution, including heart disease, stroke, diabetes, lung cancer, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
Sparrow Analytics works together with Swiss Post to bring Hyperlocal Air Quality Information to Swiss Citizens.

"Sparrow Analytics joins Esri Startup Program to maximize the impact of Hyperlocal Environmental Data collected in cities around the world using a wide range of ArcGIS tools" Sparrow Analytics has joined the Esri Startup program as part of the Esri Partner Network (EPN). The three-year Esri program helps startups by providing access to ArcGIS software, as well as the services, tools, content, education, and training needed to successfully integrate Sparrow Analytics data into the Esri ArcGIS system. This will allow Sparrow's data to easily reach a large number of potential partners and customers using Esri technology

Sparrow Analytics meeting Growing Demand for Environmental Data
After successfully running more than 10 paid pilot projects in Switzerland, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Israel and the US, Sparrow Analytics is in high demand. The Swiss startup which was able to secure CHF550k in a pre-seed round as well as grants and loans from the Canton de Vaud is poised to become a global platform for collecting, harvesting, and processing data for urban environments.
